June 5 is Gimme Shelter! Walk for the Animals Ooh-La-La!
Don't miss this year's exciting French-themed walk and fair.
Rain or shine, it's a fun event for everyone. Dogs are welcome, but not necessary. The 2k walk through the redesigned Indian Boundary Park starts at 10 a.m. Or you can just lounge around the park, enjoying the new Red Door activities: Eiffel Tower Photo Booth, Let Them Eat Cake booth, and a Kissing Booth with the most romantic dogs you've ever met. Tutu and Can-Can Skirt vendors, Dog Treat Samples, Mimes, and the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Truck! Plusa grand raffle for all Francophiles.
Pre-registration is $25 per adult, $5 for kids 3-12 years old (kids under 3 are free; kids over 12 pay adult registration). Registration includes event T-shirt, French brunch, and dog bandana. [Kids' fee does not include a T-shirt.]
Prizes for the human-canine team showing the most French flair. And prizes for those who raise $50 over registration fee, $100 over, or $250 and up.
It all happens at Indian Boundary Park, 2500 W Lunt, Chicago. Registration opens at 9:30 am. The walk starts at 10 am. And the raffle concludes at 11:50 am.
